I wanted to write a mistake which I encountered into a topic. First, how do we become root and then I will find solutions to some errors after being root.
How Do We Become Root?
After opening Kali, open the terminal and write
sudo root passwd
First, enter your password, then the password you want to give to the root account and log off from Kali. After entering the user name, enter the password you set in the root password. If you come to the terminal when you open it, you are now root. You are also root in directories. But there is a problem, terminal is uncolored?[/COLOR]
First, enter Home, then go to /home/ from the directory above and enter the output file. Press the option to show hidden files from view. Then open the .bashrc file and copy all the codes in it. Come to the root directory and open the .bashrc file there and do not delete those codes, go to the bottom line and paste the codes you copied..
Some Codes Not Working?
Some code may not work after giving root privilege, such as apt-get update. The solution is simple.
Enter E directory, delete the contents and paste these codes.
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free
deb http://old.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
deb-src http://old.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
deb http://old.kali.org/kali moto main non-free contrib
deb-src http://old.kali.org/kali moto main non-free contrib
Fix Missing And Broken Errors
The solution is simple too. For example, did you get a fix missing error?
apt install --fix-missing
apt install --fix-broken
If you do apt-get update afterwards, the problem would be solved. Make sure you do apt-get update because we have made some adjustments. Thanks for reading.
