Greetings to all of you, dear Turkish Hack Team members,
I am using Kali Linux version 2020.3. Since yesterday, the part called the top panel, toolbar or top bar has been missing. The top panel can be opened and closed normally via Desktop> Right Click> Applications> Settings>Panel.
But when I tried this way, I was getting an error saying
org xfce panel was not provided by any. Service files.
How did it happen? Why did it happen? I had no idea about it but no matter how hard I worked, I couldn't bring it back. I did a lot of research on the internet, but there was no source showing how to retrieve it. Finally I tried the way I saw it from an English source and it worked really well. Now I am writing the solution for those who have the problem:
(Panel is the part you see in the picture above)
Note: I would like to show you with pictures, but now I am not getting this error because I solved the problem. So even if I show it, it's incomprehensible exactly.
We respectively enter the following codes in the terminal we opened in the root directory:
1: xfce4-panel --quit #It is normal to have a panel error after this command.
2. ps -aux | grep xfc
3. pkill xfconfd
4. rm -rf ~/.config/xfce4/panel
5. cd .config/xfce4/
7. rm -rf panel
9. rm -rf .config/xfce4 /xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-panel.xml
Yes, that's all we have to do. I leave the video I took as the source below. I hope it has been a useful guide for you, who have encountered this error.
