The word of "Botnet" creates from combine of "Robot" and "Network" words. Hacker uses some of special Trojan viruses for hacking to users computer's security , take to the control and organise to all corrupted machines that hacker can remote control as a "bot" network.
How can we protect?
1-A Powerful Anti-Malware Software
Mostly Anti-Malware software aren't working enough, that's why I don't recommend.Instead that softwares, you should use Virustotal or Online Sandboxs.
2-The Addons of Browsers That Blocks to Harmful Websites
The Addons like this blocks to you when you try to access a website which include harmful software and prevents to harmful software before it infect to your systems.You can use "Malwarebytes" addon for this.
3-Paying Attention to Your Activities (Most Important one)
Even you uses both Anti-Malware software and browser addons, if you don't pay attention to your activities the viruses always can infect to your system. So you have to be careful about the websites that you entered and the things that you downloaded.
