Like everything served to mankind, internet, too, attracts people finding pleasure in breaking what others have done instead of creating something. A service offered in the internet often faces the attacks of several people seeking ways to destruct the service or at least inhibit its procedure enough for various reasons, ranging from personal revenge or ideological disputes to simple pleasure of mankind's destructive nature.

Denial of service attacks, ****.a (as called as) DOS attacks aim crippling the a service offered in a network by asking for way too many requests than the service may handle. To visualize it clearly, we may draw an analogy of a cashier in a supermarket. The cashier is the service offered and she has limited capacity to service. If we fill the queue forming in front of her in the registers with several people asking nonsense questions, asking for unnecessary service and maybe even babbling nonsense, the cashier can't make the time to service the actual customers.

Anonymous DoSer is a piece of code widely shared in "cyber security" forums, claiming it is the ultimate denial of service attack and even the favorite choice of the well-known hacker group "Anonymous".

But if we examine the code even a little, we realize the code is the product of a very inept developer, possibly something pieced together from several code snippets across the internet. The code (burada tahtada filan kodun sonlarından rastgele bir yeri göster, sanki anlayacaklar) tries to open several sockets in TCP protocol to the target website. Normally any service in any computer has limited capacity to open listening sockets, ears to listen messages from other applications either in the same hardware or somewhere outside networked with that computer but that limit is, especially in recent years, is equal to tens of thousands. Without a threading mechanism allowing the program to open more than one socket to the target machine and absolutely nothing forcing the target to spend valuable resources on the attack, this form of attack is completely ineffective in all but the weakest services.

Furthermore, most services in the internet enjoy the comfort of firewalls, hardware or software specialized in neutralizing simple attacks easily. The state of Anonymous DoSer's popularity also destroys what little effect it may have on a serious system - there's not one enterprise model router/firewall or honeycomb system - systems specialized in offering fake targets for attacks so the actual system is safe and information is gathered about the attack - that doesn't have a precaution about Anonymous DoSer or similar attacks.

All in all, there could have been times when Anonymous DoSer was an actual threat, possibly when there were still servers serving through dial-up connections in early 1990s, but currently Anonymous DoSer is mostly a joke among the people of the trade; the IT specialists and hackers alike.
