Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko announced the introduction of a visa-free regime with the EU which will take place in a matter of weeks.
He is also waiting for the " financial cushion " from the European Union to implement the reforms.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expects an introduction of a visa-free regime with EU countries in the nearest future, reports TASS.
" I am convinced that in the nearest future the European Union will make a decision, already only a few weeks are left before the doors will be opened visa-free for the Ukrainians to the united Europe " , - he said.
Ukrainian President also added that in the near future the country will receive a " financial cushion " from the European Union to carry out reforms
This summer, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn , said that the issue of visa-free regime with Ukraine will be considered by the European Union in the autumn of 2016 .
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has previously pointed out that the visa-free regime could only be introduced after the adoption of the mechanism for slowing it down . At the same time she said that Ukraine has fulfilled all of the conditions for visa-free travel .
