According to NTV's report, as per information obtained by The Sun newspaper, cyber pirates launched a cyber attack on the company responsible for producing identification cards for London Metropolitan Police employees.
As a result of the attack, Metropolitan Police and the National Crime Agency have issued alerts due to the possibility of the names, photos, ranks, and duty locations of 47 thousand police officers falling into the hands of terrorist organizations or gangs.
UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS DETECTED
London Metropolitan Police officials stated that personnel have been warned about the possibility of their information being compromised. In their statement to Sky News, they said, "We have been informed of unauthorized access to the systems of a company that serves the police. We are working together to determine whether unauthorized access was gained to the information of the Metropolitan Police through this company."
