En son olarak büyük ihtimalle senin her post name'i kontrol etme sebebin inputların boş veri dönebilecek olmasından sanırım. Bunu da inputları güncellediğin sayfada her inputa value attribute ekleyerek o sayfada güncellemek istediğin sorguyu çağırıp <?php echo $veri->name ?> şeklinde value içine yazdırırsan post ederken değiştirmediyse aynı şekilde veritabanına kaydolur.
