Ukrainian authorities do not recognize Crimea as Russian , in exchange for regaining of Donbass , declared President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry protested Putin's and Medvedev's trip to Crimea
" We will never recognize , never exchange Crimea for Donbass " , - Poroshenko said , speaking at a conference " Yalta European Strategy " (YES).
Poroshenko also said he expects the support of the UN General Assembly in the position on the Crimea .
" The UN General Assembly , which began a few days ago in New York , also has to say its word regarding this question. We in Ukraine are counting on the support of the new Ukrainian initiatives for the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution on human rights violations in the Crimea. " - Poroshenko said on Friday at the annual conference "Yalta Economic Strategy ".
Kiev, the US and the EU have repeatedly accused Moscow of interfering in Ukraine's affairs. Russia denies it and calls such accusations unacceptable . Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the Ukrainian domestic conflict and is not implicated in the events in the south- eastern Ukraine , that it is interested in that Ukraine overcomes its political and economic crisis . As stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova , Russia is not the subject of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine and can only exert pressure on the conflicting parties .
